WWGA'ers at the Encanto Birthday Invitational

Today was Encanto's Birthday Invitational. Wow, were there alot of Working Women there! Franny, Keitha and Lynnie were in leadership roles with their "Encanto Hats on", ensuring the tournament ran smoothly and making everyone a "winner." (Love my scarf, Fran!)
Forgive this blog for not knowing all the scores and places... this is all from memory:
  • Keitha and Helen placed in the first flight.
  • Meg and Sharon won low gross in the second flight. (I remember this because of a side bet:)).
  • Lynn and her partner won low net in the second flight.
  • Karen and Bethie placed in their flight.
  • Kathy B and her partner (Mary B) placed in the 3rd flight.
  • Nancy W won long putts all over the place.
  • Anni won longest drive in the first flight (whoohaa).
  • Lynnie outdrove Keitha for longest drive in the second flight.
  • Nancy H cleaned up in the raffle.
  • If I missed someone who did something well, my apologies.
A big hats-off to Frannie, who passed up playing to make sure that the tournament was a success. (Gosh -- I never thought of just organizing a tournament without playing in it... seems a little selfless!) Happy Birthday Encanto! Now back to being Working Women.....

Welcome to 2010 with the WWGA

In lieu of a "State of the Union" address from our President Meg, here is a written message from her instead! Please read through it, as it highlights changes in our organization.

Neili's in the News Again; Martha wins Money Race

As part of our end of year awards, congratulations to Neili Gundrum who is our 2009 Most Improved Player. She edged out the 2nd place finisher by the skin of her teeth. (That would be poor Ann White who hasn't gotten her name on this blog for quite some time!)
Also, congratulations to Martha French who won the 2009 Money Race. She placed in 10 of the WWGA's events last year. That is mighty impressive, Ms Martha!!
